Fundamentals of Wine

This fun class provides an educational experience where you can learn how to enjoy what fine wine has to offer. From reading a wine label, to wine tasting technique, wine storage, serving of wines, and importantly, matching wines with cheeses, chocolates, and other delicious morsels that will bring out the best in both flavors. You will greatly expand your knowledge of wine in just 90 minutes.

Tasting each of wines, along with along with selected accompaniments, will demonstrate the benefit of pairing proper food flavors with each wine.

This exciting introduction to the world of wine is held in a convenient location with classes scheduled to accommodate both weekend and week day evening attendees. You will be provided with a list of wines and foods with the opportunity to add your own notes about wines, pairings, and tastings. Your souvenir wine glass will be a reminder of the fun time at TASTE. Cost: $30.

Wine, Tapas and Small Plate Class

Two-hour wine-paring class guides students through eight wines & bevy of tapas & small plates.
An in-depth knowledge of wine can enliven humdrum dinner parties.   The gourmets at Taste transfer their knowledge to pupils via eight varietals and a bevy of food pairings. Each 2-hour wine-and-tapas class takes students on a whirlwind tour of the wine-pairing process, covering the basics.  Participants taste and sip as knowledgeable instructors share the rich history of tapas, pass out recipes for featured dishes, and discuss how correct pairing practices help both the food and the wine taste their best. Participants are free to sample a blend of egg and tuna ensconced inside Serrano ham. Other included morsels that enhance and elucidate wine flavors include thyme-scented green olives, shrimp, and Manchego cheese with quince paste.

$55, you get a wine-and-tapas pairing class.
$99, you get a wine-and-tapas pairing class for two.

Tapas and Wine Class

Flavors explode when wine is paired properly with food; good food, healthy food. TASTE is offering a new culinary class, Tapas & Wine, small plates are the perfect accompaniment to wine, easy to make and delicious. Discover how choosing the correct wine opens up the flavors in foods. Learn the history of tapas and how to prepare small plates.

This two hour class is offer at both TASTE locations: Warrington & Phoenixville, several times a week. Discover new varieties and styles of wine, why pairings are vital to delivering great taste. Create the WOW factor at your next party or simply enjoy a flavorful wine and food combo at your next meal.

The class offering will be Tuesday & Thursday 7:00 p.m., Saturday 5:00 p.m., and Sunday 1:00 & 5:00 p.m. You can purchase a voucher for a select location; 1 Person, 2 people or 4 people. Additional class times may be offered to fit the demand.
