Winning in Erwinna
Erwinna sits along the Delaware River in Bucks County. It’s
a sleepy little village in a beautiful setting. Among some of the
sites to see are 3 covered
bridges, a historic schoolhouse on Headquarters Road that dates back to 1861
and fieldstone buildings dating from 1841.
Erwinna is host to such activities as Tinicum
Park Polo, summer concerts by the Riverside
Symphonia, an AKC dog show
in May and a large annual antiques show. There are riverboat and
trolley tours given of the area by Keller’s Landing in Upper
Black Eddy, Evermay
On-the-Delaware, a bed and breakfast that dates
from the 1700s and the Stover Mill Gallery of fine arts. The
Golden Pheasant Inn, an upscale dining spot now, formally a community bar
and 40 acre farm which became the Sand Castle Vineyards.
